RARA is an innovative cultural initiative aimed at empowering and giving space to local artists. The Festival offers an opportunity for creative exchange both locally and internationally, and makes a niche culture accessible to a wider audience and, in this sense, tends to improve the cultural status of the area, and in particular experimental music and improvisational arts in Sicily and Italy.

RARA focuses above all on improvisation, as regards music and art in general, preferring live and experimental electronic music, but also multimedia and experimental and improvisation-based shows.
